CBSE has declared the Class 10 board exam result. The number of 90% and above scoring students has decreased this year in comparison to last year.

This year 1,84,358 students have secured above 90% which is less than last year's figure. In 2019, over 2.2 lakh students were in this category comprising 12.78% of the total number of students.

This year only 9.84% of the total students have secured above 90% in aggregate.

The number of 95% scorers has also decreased. In comparison to last year where more than 57,000 students had secured over 95% in aggregate this year 41,084 students have secured more than 95%.

Overall, 91.46% of the total number of students have passed the exam this year. The overall pass percentage has increased by 0.36 %.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has congratulated students, teachers and parents for the result.

Over 18 lakh students had appeared for the exam this year of which 17,13,121 students have passed.

Girls have performed better than boys in the CBSE Class 10 exam by 3.17%.

In Delhi region, 85.86% students have passed in CBSE Class 10 exam.

A total of 1,50,198 students have been placed in the compartment category comprising 8.02% of the total number of students. The number of students in this category has increased in comparison to last year. Last year, 138705 students were placed in this category. According to CBSE's exam and assessment rules, a candidate failing in one of the five subjects of external examination shall be placed in compartment in that subject provided he/she qualifies in all the subjects of internal assessment.

Trivandrum region recorded highest pass percentage of 99.28, while the pass percentage of Guwahati region was lowest at 79.12.

While the class 12 exams were rescheduled to be held in July in all parts of the country, class 10 exams were rescheduled only in North East Delhi which was affected by riots in March. However, later all exams were cancelled following spike in COVID-19 cases.

For subjects for which exams could not be conducted, the board has announced the results on basis of an alternative assessment scheme.

CBSE 10th Result 2020 will be Declared Soon

CBSE Class 10 results will be released anytime from now.

The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE, the national level education board which conducts secondary and higher secondary annual certificate exams, will be publishing the CBSE 10th results for more than 18 lakh students on its official websites.

The CBSE results will be released at cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and results.gov.in.

Post-result updates like availability of certificates and mark sheet will be sent to students through DigiLocker. DigiLocker will intimate students of their marksheet and pass certificate once it is sent by the CBSE.

CBSE 10th Result 2020 Update : CBSE Will Declare The Class 10th Result Tomorrow

CBSE will declare the class 10 result tomorrow. The result will be released on the official websites cbseresults.nic.in and results.gov.in.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has confirmed that the CBSE Class 10 result will be declared tomorrow.

The CBSE Class 10 result be declared on the basis of the new assessment scheme.

"For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted," the board has said.

"For students who have appeared in the examinations in only three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted," the board added.

For students who have appeared for only one or two exams, the assessment will be based on practical work and class projects. Such students, who are mainly from Delhi, also have the option of taking the written exams at a later date.

CBSE Class 10 pass certificate and mark sheet will be sent to the DigiLocker accounts.

So far, CBSE has declared Class 12 result. 88.78% students have passed the exam. The performance of girls have been better than boys.

CBSE Result 2020 Update : How To Obtain Marksheet, Pass Certificate

CBSE issues marksheet and pass certificate to Class 10 and Class 12 students after the results are declared. CBSE issues both hard copy and online copy of the documents.

Schools provide the hard copy of the mark sheet and pass certificate to students which are issued to them by the CBSE. Usually schools issue the certificates 10-15 days after the declaration of the result. Students have to contact their respective schools for details on when the certificates will be issued to them.

CBSE also provides the pass certificate and mark sheet through DigiLocker. DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) under Digital India programme and it aims at ‘Digital Empowerment’ of citizen by providing access to authentic digital documents to citizen’s digital document wallet.

DigiLocker had partnered with CBSE in 2019 to provide digital certificates to students.

Students receive their DigiLocker username through SMS on the mobile number registered with CBSE. Those students who did not receive the SMS with credentials or else do not have access to the mobile number registered with CBSE, can still get the digital certificates by signing up on DigiLocker.

As per official data received, in 2019 approximately 3 Crore students have downloaded their academic awards from this repository.

For this year's exams, CBSE will release the result by July 15.
