Following are the important points related to CSIR-CIMAP:

• Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
• The center aims to develop as a center of excellence of MAPs of the Himalayan region.
• Center Activities are collection, conservation, domestication and characterization of MAPs of Uttarakhand, R&D programme for agrotechnology development for hill region, especially Uttarakhand.

Fourth Five Year Plan:

• The Fourth Five-year plan was implemented from 1969 to 1974 in India.
• It was a plan based on the Ashok Rudra Menon model.

• During this plan period, the slogan of Garibi Hatao was given, which was the original slogan of the 1971 general election.

Land Grant system:

• ​Land grants to religious institutions were called Brahmadeya, (i.e. donated to Brahmins) Devadana (donated to Gods) and Agrahara (Settlement – of priests).
• The land donations implied more than the transfer of land rights. For example, in many cases, along with the revenues and economic resources of the village, human resources such as peasants (cultivators), misans and others were also transferred to donees. Hence, statement 1 is not correct.
• Lands were given as brahmadeya either to a single Brahmana or to several Brahmana families which ranged from a few to several hundred or even more than a thousand, as seen in the South Indian context.
• Brahmadeyas were invariably located near major irrigation works such as tanks or lakes. Hence, statement 2 is correct.
• Often new irrigation sources were constructed when brahmadeyas were created, especially in areas dependent on rains and in arid and semi-arid regions.
• When located in areas of intensive agriculture in the river valleys, they served to integrate other settlements of a subsihena level production.
