A word is represented by only one set of numbers as given in any one of the alternatives. The sets of numbers given in the alternatives are represented by two classes of alphabets as in two matrices given below. The columns and row of the matrix-I are numbered from 0 to 4 and that of matrix-II are numbered from 5 to 9. A letter from these matrices can be represented first by its row and next to its column, eg. 'S' can be represented by 98, 86 etc. and 'P' can be represented by 95, 88 etc. Similarly, you have to identify the set for the word given 'AMOOL'.

    Directions For Questions

Direction: Study the information carefully and answer the questions given below.

@ – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 8.

    # – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 4.

$ – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 11.

% – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 5.

& – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 3.

€ – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 6.

£ – Either the hour hand or minute hand of clock on 2.

All the times are in AM. The first symbol represents hours and second symbol represent minutes.

Manan goes to gym daily at €. He does a warm up there for 15 minutes, exercise for 30 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes and again exercise for 1 hour 30 minutes. What is the time when he leaves the gym?

    Solution

Based on information given in the passage,

Manan goes to gym daily at € i.e., 6 AM.

    He stays there for 15 + 30 + 10 + 90 = 145 minutes i.e., 2 hour 25 minutes.

So, time when he leaves the gym is 2 hour 25 minutes after 6 AM i.e., 8:25 AM.

    8:25 AM is @%.

So, he would leave gym at @%.

    Directions For Questions

Direction: Study the following information carefully and answer the given question.

When a letter/number/symbol arrangement machine is given an input line of letters/ numbers/ symbol, it arranges them by following a certain rule. Following is an illustration of input and rearrangement.

Read the following information and answer the questions that follow:

    INPUT: J @ 4 F # 5 V $ 3 S % 8 L & 3 M ) 9 X ( 3 S ≤ 2

    Step 1: J @ 5 F # 4 V $ 8 S % 3 L & 9 M ) 3 X ( 2 S ≤ 3

    Step 2: J # 5 F @ 4 V % 8 S $ 3 L ) 9 M & 3 X ≤ 2 S ( 3

    Step 3: F # 5 J @ 4 S % 8 V $ 3 M ) 9 L & 3 S ≤ 2 X ( 3

    Step 4: F J S V M L S X # @ % $ ) & ≤ ( 5 4 8 3 9 3 2 3

    Step 5: F J L M S S V X # @ % $ ) & ≤ ( 2 3 3 3 4 5 8 9

    And so on.

As per the rules followed in the above input, work out the steps for the following input:

    INPUT: K ( 3 S ) 4 B % 7 M @ 9 F $ 2 Z Ω 1 A # 5 Q £ 8.

Which step number is the following output?

    S ) 4 K ( 3 M @ 9 B % 7 Z Ω 1 F $ 2 Q £ 8 A # 5

    Solution

Step 1: 1st number from left end is interchanged with 2nd number. 3rd number from left end is interchanged with 4th number. 5th number from left end is interchanged with 6th number. 7th number from left end is interchanged with 8th number.

Step 2: 1st symbol from left end is interchanged with 2nd symbol. 3rd symbol from left end is interchanged with 4th symbol. 5th symbol from left end is interchanged with 6th symbol. 7th symbol from left end is interchanged with 8th symbol.

Step 3: 1st alphabet from left end is interchanged with 2nd alphabet. 3rd alphabet from left end is interchanged with the 4th alphabet. 5th alphabet from left end is interchanged with 6th alphabet. 7th alphabet from left end is interchanged with 8th alphabet.

Step 4: All the alphabets are placed together( in the same order as in the previous step) followed by all symbols and all symbols followed by all numbers.

Step 5: All the alphabets are arranged in alphabetical order. All the numbers are are arranged in ascending order.

    INPUT: K ( 3 S ) 4 B % 7 M @ 9 F $ 2 Z Ω 1 A # 5 Q £ 8

    Step I: K ( 4 S ) 3 B % 9 M @ 7 F $ 1 Z Ω 2 A # 8 Q £ 5

    Step II: K ) 4 S ( 3 B @ 9 M % 7 F Ω 1 Z $ 2 A £ 8 Q # 5

    Step III: S ) 4 K ( 3 M @ 9 B % 7 Z Ω 1 F $ 2 Q £ 8 A # 5
