The common name of xylem is wood.

The chemical deposited on the wall of sclerenchyma is lignin. This deposition of lignin on wall makes these tissues impervious to water and air.

Aerenchyma provides buoyancy. Parenchyma cells are thin-walled.Chlorenchyma is reponsible for photosynthesis in green plants. Cork is a permanent tissue.

The tissue which is responsible for flexibility in plants is collenchyma. Sclereids are also called grit cells. Mature sclerenchyma cells are dead cells that have heavily thickened walls containing lignin. Xylem distributes water and phloem distributes food throughout the plants body.

 (a) Jumping of frog is the activity of voluntary muscles as it is controlled by skeletal muscles.
 (b) Pumping of heart involuntary, i.e., it is controlled by cardiac muscles.
 (c) Writing with hand is voluntary muscles action.

Primary growth in plants occurs by both the apical meristem and intercalary meristem. Apical meristem is present on root apex, stem apex, leaf buds and flower buds. They are responsible for growth in length, i.e. primary growth. Intercalary meristem act along with other types of meristem to increase the length of the leaves and stems. They are mainly found at the base of leaves and nodes and internodes.
Lateral meristem is present along the side of the stem. They are responsible for growth in girth, i.e. secondary growth. Vertical meristem also responsible for secondary growth.
So, In (a) and (b) Primary growth occur.

Parenchyma serves as a packing tissue in plants therefore they have intercellular spaces.
Collenchymatous tissues are mechanical tissues in the plants and are characterised by deposition of cellulose at the corners of the cell, which leads to localised thickenings of the cell wall.
Apical and intercalary meristem bring primary growth (increase in height) and secondary growth (increase in diameter) respectively and are classified under meristematic tissues.
Meristematic tissue are dividing units of the plants and contain dense cytoplasm and large nucleus with few or no vacuoles at all.
So, statement A, B and D are correct statement and statement C are incorrect statement.

White fibers of connective tissue are made up of collagen fibre. These fibers are responsible to contractile nature of connective tissues.
