The inclusion of art education in the curriculum of school as a subject has certain important purposes apart from contributing to the overall development of the child's personality. Learning to See and Observe and then represent: Sight is an important part of the visual art curriculum. It provides a sensorial experience that lasts longer as more than one sense organ is involved in learning.

• Students need encouragement to observe details in their surroundings and explore the relationships between objects and their environment.
• When a child draws an image after observation of an actual object or through some imagination the concept becomes more meaningful to the child as the creation develops an in-depth analysis for meaning in the visual images.
• The child learns gradually. The first activity with crayons, pencil scribbling. This is a fine display of their motor skills results and is their first masterpiece.

Facilitation in art education means actively involving learners in hands-on, arts-based experiences in order to increase knowledge and skill in the art discipline. It is a technique used by teachers to help learners acquire, retain and apply knowledge and skills. Good facilitation is simply putting the focus more on the learner and less on the teacher

Important PointsPurpose of facilitation in art education:-

• To help children by providing necessary resources, information, and support.
• To provide children musical instruments under their observation.
• To provide children required art (not a lot of) material.
• To help learners acquire, retain and apply knowledge and skills.​
• Hence, both points are not correct because facilitation in art education provides children necessary resources under observation. It doesn't let learners choose art material or giving them free access to handle musical instruments.

•  Adding arts and crafts as a subject in boards will only make arts a subject. Discussing arts and showing movies will make them interested but students get more interest when they are learning by doing.
