Temperate coniferous forests is succeeded by Alpine Forests which is found generally at altitudes between 2750 to 3600 meters above sea level. These forests are covered with species like silver firs, pines, birches and junipers. Above 3600 meters above sea level, Alpine Forests give way to Alpine Grasslands. Apple trees are not found at the altitude of 3600 meters above sea level.

The Sivalik Hills, also known as Churia Hills, are a mountain range of the outer Himalayas that stretches from the Indus River about 2,400 km (1,500 mi) eastwards close to the Brahmaputra River. The South Western Ghats moist deciduous forests is a tropical moist broadleaf forest ecoregion of southern India. It covers the southern portion of the Western Ghats range and the Nilgiri Hills between 250 and 1000 meters elevation in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states.ropical Deciduous ForestsThis forest can be classified into two broad categories:(Moist Deciduous Forests)They encompass a mixture of trees and grass.They receive moderate rainfall, averaging to 100 cm to 200 cm per year with the average temperature 27-degree Celcius and the humidity level approximating to a 65-75 percent.They grew plentifully in the Western Ghats (on the eastern sides), the Chota Nagpur plateau as well as the Shivalik mountain range.

The Indian wild ass, also known as the khur, was once found throughout the arid part of north-west India (including part of present-day Pakistan), but it is now restricted to a small area of Gujarat, India. The onager is found in two very small sub-populations in Iran.In the last century, the Indian wild ass lived all over the dry regions of northwestern India and western Pakistan including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Sind and Baluchistan. Today, it survives only in the Little Rann, and a few stray towards the Great Rann of Kutch with some reaching bordering villages in the Jalore district of the Indian State of Rajasthan( That is extremely hot and aired area .)

Only one species of them lives in all of Africa. The most popular types of deer include elk, White Tail Deer, moose, and caribou. One- horned rhinoceros have thick skin and a few more biological features which make them live in marshy areas of Assam & West Bengal. In Assam, their Rhino habitat is limited to just two national parks - Kaziranga and Manas.

Chousingha, is a small antelope found in India and Nepal. This antelope has four horns which make it more beautiful and handsome, which distinguish it from most other bovids, which have two horns.The antelope is shy and elusive. These animals are nimble and fast, which is fortunate, because they are a popular target for many predators. It often conceals itself in tall grasses to escape predators.

The lion (Panthera leo), once widely distributed across most of Africa and parts of Europe and Asia, is now confined to a number of isolated areas.The Asiatic Lion (Panthera leo persica), also known as the Indian Lion or Persian Lion: Although once widespread across parts of Asia, they are now confined to the Gir Forest area in India. However, now they are found in only two areas of the world and are classified into two subspecies. Asiatic lions live in India's Gir Forest; African lions live in central and southern Africa.

Indian Lions or Asiatic Lions is one of five big cat species found in India, a single population exists in the Gir Forest National Park in Saurashtra in Gujarat state. The Asiatic lion's habitat is dry scrub land and open deciduous forest which is found in these forests. The lion population which was 411 in 2010 has increased to 523 in 2015 and all of them are in or around the Gir Forest National Park.
