CBSE Class 10 Science Paper 2019 : Analysis, Review & Students’ Reaction
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10th Science paper today. The paper was conducted from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM. After Maths, this was the second major paper for class 10 students under CBSE Board Exams 2019. Question papers were distributed at 10:15 AM and as per the CBSE’s examination guidelines students were offered 15 minutes’ time to read the question paper before they started writing their exam.

The question paper consisted of 27 questions divided into five sections A, B, C, D and E.

There was no overall choice. However, internal choices were provided for some questions in Sections B, C, D and E. Students were required to attempt only one of the choices in such questions.
Practical section (Section E) tougher than rest of the Class 10 Science paper
Most students whom we spoke to pegged the Practicals section as the toughest section in the 2019 Science paper.
"The paper was easy but the Physics numerical had answers in decimals, which was a little confusing," said Yashika.
"I didn't expect it to be so easy," said Shama.
"The paper was not difficult, but the last section was based on the practicals. So the questions were a little new," she added.
Students' Reaction After The Exam
1. Was the paper difficult, moderate or easy – Students say the paper was easy and they were able to finish it on time.
2. Which section in paper was the toughest – Most of the students found Section C to be the toughest.
3. In which section it took long time to solve the questions – In Sections C and D
4. How was the Section – E which had Practical Based Questions – Questions were little tricky but not difficult.
5. What about the numerical questions - Most of the numerical questions were from Light and Electricity chapters and they were all easy.
6. Did the paper contain any questions beyond the CBSE Science syllabus – No, all the question in the paper were from the latest CBSE 10th Science syllabus.
7. Average range of expected marks (out of 80) - 60 to 70 Marks
