IIT-JEE Advanced 2019: Registration Started
JEE Advanced 2019 Registration Form has been released by IIT Roorkee. The top 245000 JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 qualifying candidate can apply from jeeadv.ac.in.
To register for JEE Advanced 2019, candidates need to mention JEE Main application number and password.
The application fee for IIT-JEE is Rs. 2600 (Rs. 1300 for SC / ST / Female candidates). The last date to register for JEE Advanced is May 07, 5:00 pm.
JEE Advanced 2019: Registration
JEE Advanced 2019 Registration is an online process that is open for the candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2019 cutoff marks to be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2019 exam.

Documents Needed For JEE Advanced 2019 Registration
Before starting with the online registration process of JEE Advanced 2019, the candidates need to be ready with some important documents.
The candidates need to upload the scanned copies of these documents in the application after registration.Thus make sure you keep the scanned images of the following documents handy.
All the candidates: Candidates irrespective of their category have to upload the following documents:
- Either class 10 certificate or the birth certificate as a proof of date of birth.
- Class 12 certificate.
- A gazette notification of name change if applicable.
Candidates seeking admission under any reserved category: Such candidates have to upload the following:
- EWS certificate for the candidates who have selected EWS quota while filling the JEE Main 2019 application form.
- If the category is OBS-NCL, then an OBC-NCL certificate in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
- If the category is SC/ST, then an SC/ST certificate in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
- PWD certificate issued by the notified medical authority.
- PIO card or OCI certificate, as applicable.
Candidates seeking service of the scribe: Such candidates have to upload a scanned image of:
- Request letter to the Chairman of the respective zonal coordinating IIT
JEE Advanced 2019: Registration Fees
An application fee amount has to be paid by candidates who will be registering for JEE Advanced. The application fee keeps changing every year. The expected application fee this year is as follows:

JEE Advanced 2019: Eligibility
Candidates need to fulfil the given criterion in order to register for JEE Advanced 2019. You may check the eligibility criteria as given below:
- Candidates should be among the top (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper‐1 of JEE (Main) 2019.
- A candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1994. Five years relaxation will be given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.
- Candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
- A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR whose admission at IITs were cancelled are also NOT eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2019.
JEE Advanced 2019: Exam Pattern
The exam has no fixed pattern when it comes to the distribution of marks and questions. However, there is some general pattern that remains the same. To know what the question paper pattern of JEE advanced 2019 is, check the points below:
Number of papers: There are 2 papers in the exam – Paper 1 and 2. Candidates have to attempt and qualify in both the papers.
Sections in the question papers: Both the papers will have 3 sections each. These sections are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Marking scheme: Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers of some of the questions.
Duration: Paper 1 is for 3 hours and Paper 2 is also for 3 hours. The total duration thus is 6 hours.
Languages of question paper: Hindi and English language only.
Type of Questions: Objective type only. There is a mixed type of questions that include multiple choice and/or numerical answer type.
Mode of the exam: Online only.

If there is a tie between 2 or more candidates, the following Tie Breaking norms are used:
- Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics gets a better rank.
- If that score is equal then one with higher marks in Physics gets a better rank.
- If the tie persists, then the same rank will be awarded.
