CUET UG 2025 May 13: Subject-wise Analysis, Difficulty Level & Good Attempts - Check Now

CUET UG 2025 exam is being conducted by NTA in three shifts from May 13. This exam is for 37 subjects and is required for admission in central and state universities.

In this article, the exam analysis has been done on the basis of type of questions, difficulty level, number of candidates and good attempts.

Subject-wise Explained CUET Exam Analysis 2025 for Shift 1

English Language

  • Overall difficulty: Easy – Most students found the paper straightforward.
  • Vocabulary-focused – Many questions tested word meanings; examples include Expose and Pragmatic.
  • Grammar questions were fewer – Mostly based on parts of speech; fewer than last year.
  • Reading Comprehension (RC) – Only 3 passages (1 factual, 2 story-based) with about 12 questions in total.
  • Synonyms and Antonyms – Many direct vocabulary-based questions.
  • RC and grammar had less weightage compared to the previous year.

Chemistry

  • Overall difficulty: Easy – Paper was well-balanced and not lengthy.
  • Balanced section-wise distribution:
  • Physical Chemistry: 14–16 questions
  • Organic Chemistry: 14–16 questions
  • Inorganic Chemistry: 9–11 questions
  • Most numericals were direct and formula-based – Easy to solve, minimal calculation.
  • Only 1–2 questions involved lengthy derivation, rest were concept-based and quick.

 Economics

  • Overall difficulty: Moderate to slightly difficult
  • Included 2 reading passages – Based on comprehension and interpretation.
  • NCERT-based questions – Most of the concepts were directly from the textbook.
  • Numericals were simple – Required concept clarity but easy to solve.
  • Microeconomics had more questions than Macroeconomics.
  • 3–4 questions were tricky – Needed deeper thinking or application of concepts.
