CUET UG & PG 2025: Major Changes Expected, Revised Guidelines Coming Soon : UGC Chairman Statements

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate and postgraduate courses will have some big changes in 2025. UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar said an expert panel has reviewed the exam to make it simpler and more student-friendly. They are working on improving the exam structure, syllabus, and process.

Soon, the UGC will release a draft with the updated guidelines for CUET-UG and PG 2025. Students, parents, and teachers can share their feedback to help finalize these changes. These updates are based on past challenges. In 2022, technical issues and score normalization caused problems. In 2024, the hybrid exam faced cancellations in Delhi due to logistics issues.

CUET has made admissions fairer by giving equal chances to students from all boards and backgrounds. It removes the need for varying cut-offs and makes the process more transparent. Last year, 283 universities used CUET, and over 13 lakh students registered for the test.

The changes in CUET 2025 aim to make the exam smoother, easier, and more effective for all students.
