The cutoff of JEE Main 2026 will be released by NTA after the exam. This cutoff decides whether the candidates are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026 or not. The cutoff is declared according to various categories like General, OBC, SC, ST and EWS.
JEE Main Qualifying vs Admission Cutoff
There are two types of cutoffs – Qualifying and Admission Cutoff:
✅ Qualifying Cutoff: This is the minimum score required to qualify for JEE Advanced 2026.
✅ Admission Cutoff: This is released after each round during JoSAA counselling, and varies as per college, course, and category.
Only after qualifying JEE Main, candidates can appear for JEE Advanced 2026, which is necessary for admission to IITs and top engineering colleges. This cutoff will be released along with the JEE Main result.
