  • Parents own a residential plot of 200 square yards or more in non-municipal areas.
  • Family owns at least 5 acres of agricultural land.
  • Parents have a residential plot of 100 square yards or more in specified municipalities.
  • Candidate owns a residential flat of 1,000 square feet or more.

State University Reservation

Candidates can also avail themselves of reservation opportunities based on their home state through the following quotas:

Home State Quota

Candidates who have passed their Class 12 board exams from a specific state and cleared JEE Main are eligible for home state preference.

Other State Quota

This category includes candidates from other states and union territories. These candidates do not receive the same preference as home state candidates.

Claiming JEE Main Reservation 2025

To claim reservation benefits, candidates must follow these steps:
