MP Board Book for class 11th Mathematics Chapter 6- Linear Inequalities
In this we will discuss the class 11th Mathematics chapter 6- Linear Inequalities. Some important definitions are being discussed, some important steps for solving linear equations are also being discussed.
Mathematics is the art of saying many things in many different ways.
Linear Equality- Linear equality is the expression where any two values are being compared by the inequality symbols that are <, >, _<, _>. These are the main symbols which are being used during the comparison of expressions. Two algebraic expressions related by the symbols form an inequity expression. The region containing all the solutions is called the solution region.
Rules for solving linear equation-
- Equal numbers may be added to from both sides of the equation.
- Equal numbers may be subtracted from both side of the equation
- Both sides of an equation can be multiplied by the same non zero number or same positive number.
- Same numbers are being divided from both sides of the equation.
Cartesian Plane- Cartesian plane is the plane which is made up of two axis that are X-axis and Y-axis. The values of x, which will make an inequality a true statement are called the solutions of the inequality. The equation is always in the form of ax^2+by+c=0.
