CUET 2025 : Syllabus

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the CUET syllabus along with the information brochure. Candidates should go through the CUET 2025 syllabus to prepare well for the exam. The CUET UG 2025 exam is expected to be held in the third week of May 2025 in CBT mode. By looking at the syllabus, candidates can know the important topics in each subject. The CUET exam is held in hybrid mode, where candidates can choose up to six subjects, including three domain subjects, two languages, and a general test.

Candidates appearing for CUET (UG) 2025 are advised to primarily focus on the Class 12th NCERT syllabus. The CUET 2025 syllabus is designed to be inclusive of students from any stream who have completed their Class XII.

CUET Syllabus 2025 for Section I: Language Test (Sections IA & IB)

The language section of CUET 2025 consists of 40 questions to be completed within 45 minutes. This section assesses the candidates' language proficiency, including grammar and vocabulary skills. • Comprehension: This section evaluates understanding of passages, identifying central themes, determining word meanings, and identifying synonyms.
• Grammar: The grammar section assesses the correction of grammatically incorrect sentences, spelling errors, filling in blanks with appropriate verbs or words, and more.
• Vocabulary: Enhancing English vocabulary is crucial. Candidates should aim to study 1000-2000 synonyms and antonyms to improve their language skills.

CUET Syllabus 2025: Section II - Domain-Specific Subjects Test

For CUET 2025, candidates need to familiarize themselves with the pattern of the domain-specific subjects. The section comprises 27 subjects, and students can select up to 6 domains based on their interests and the entrance examination requirements.

It's important to note that the pattern may vary across institutions and UG programs. Let's take the example of Delhi University CUET exam:

• Language subject from Section 1 is mandatory for candidates appearing for the Delhi University CUET exam.
• In Section 2, candidates must choose 6 program-specific domain subjects according to the exam pattern specified on the official CUET website.

The General Aptitude Test is often considered a challenging section for students, covering various areas of knowledge. The question paper in this section evaluates your understanding in the following areas:
