Chicken (hen) gives us both egg and meat.

Leeches are worms that live in water or on land and feed by sucking blood from fish, frogs, lizards, birds or, if they get the chance, larger animals like humans.

Babies of dogs and cats suck milk from their mothers.

If they are crying during or after eating, they are usually becoming ill, are not receiving adequate milk, or the mother's milk has become infected (mastitis).

Snakes are carnivores. This means that they only eat meat.

Snakes are often seen as pests, but they actually can help keep pests at bay by eating rodents.

Grasshoppers in turn are eaten by frogs, which is occupying the third trophic level.

Frogs here are termed as secondary consumers.

• Grasshoppers are herbivores, they eat plants.
• They mostly eat leaves, but also flowers, stems and seeds.
• Sometimes they also scavenge dead insects for extra protein.
