1. Tirupati is located at 13.65°N 79.42°E in the Chittoor District of South Indian State of Andhra Pradesh. It lies at the foot of Seshachalam Hills of Eastern Ghats which were formed during Precambrian era.
2. Tirupati is surrounded by Srikalahasti towards the east, Puttur towards the south,  Poothalapattu towards the west and the Seshachalam hills towards the north.

As the summer (wet) monsoons approach the West Coast of India, they rise up the western Ghats (mountains) and the air cools. This cool air is less able to hold moisture and it is released as rainfall. This is called OROGRAPHIC RAINFALL.

B.  Pitti Island:-

The Lakshadweep Archipelago forms a terrestrial ecoregion together with the Maldives and the Chagos. It has over 600 species of marine fishes, 78 species of corals, 82 species of seaweed, 52 species of crabs, 2 species of lobsters, 48 species of gastropods, 12 species of bivalves, 101 species of birds. It is one of the four coral reef regions in India. The corals are a major attraction for the tourist. Pitti Island, is an important breeding place for sea turtles and for a number of pelagic birds such as the brown noddy  lesser crested tern  and greater crested tern . The island has been declared a bird sanctuary.

• The Purvanchal Mountains cover the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram.
• The range is an eastern extension of the Himalayan Range System, in north eastern India. It bends sharply to the south beyond the Dihang River gorge and spreads along the eastern boundary of India with Myanmar.

Satpura hills are part of the Deccan plateau in Madhya Pradesh. The hills stretch for some 560 miles (900 km) across the widest part of peninsular India, through Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh states. The range, the name of which means "Seven Folds," forms the watershed between the Narmada (north) and Tapti(south) rivers. 

Malwa Plateau is the plateau that lies between Aravali and Vindhya ranges. Streching from present day western central Madhya Pradesh to South-Eastern Rajasthan, the region of malwa once was part of Ujjain

• The crust beneath the Himalaya, the most towering mountain range on Earth, is still the process of being compressed.
  
• Examples of fold mountains include the Himalayan mountains in Asia, the Alps in Europe. the Andes in South America, the Rockies in North America, the Urals in Russia.
  
• Fold mountains are formed when sedimentary rock strata in geosynclines are subjected to compressive forces.
  

In the north-west are the Aravali range, running in south-west, north-east direction forming a discontinuous ridge. Thar Desert lies to the west of Aravali ranges. The southern boundary is demarcated by the Vindhya Range with Kaimur Hills in the eastern extent. The Malwa plateau lies between Aravalis and Vindhyas.
