1. Syllabus: In the NEET exam, questions are asked from three subjects only: Biology, Physics, & Chemistry. A candidate will have to cover all the topics from these subjects as per the prescribed NEET Syllabus.

Here is the twist; Question Papers are developed by referring to the syllabus and the NEET Syllabus is very vast because it includes two distinct syllabus in one. Let me explain you a bit - 

A student preparing for NEET Exam will have to cover class 11th Physics, Chemistry, & Biology. At the same time, they will also have to study the class 12th Physics, Chemistry, & Biology. 

So, eventually the lots of chapters a student will have to cover and due to the lack of consistency and self-motivation many fail to complete their full NEET syllabus.

3. Number of Qualifying Students: In 2022, Over 18.72 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET entrance exam. Last year 14,10,755 appeared for the NEET exam but 7,97,042 candidates qualified in it. 

By these numbers you can see that about 50% of the candidates are able to qualify in this exam. This shows how tough this entrance exam is and their question papers are. 

If we take a look at the NEET cutoff percentile for the general category, it is 50th and for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th.
