NEET 2019 : Analysis & Expected Cutoff

National Test Agency conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test on May 5, 2019. After the conclusion of the exam, the candidates will be anxious to assess their performance in the examination. The NEET analysis and expected cut off will help such candidates to evaluate their scores and the overall examination. Aspirants can get a fair idea of their score and the probability of qualifying the exam. NEET was conducted in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

NEET 2019 Exam pattern

The candidates should be well aware of the exam pattern in order to prepare for the examination. NEET Analysis - Physics

Previous analysis of NEET by experts suggests that around 51 percent of the questions were from Class XII syllabus. The difficullty level of the exam was medium in which maximum number of questions (31%) were asked from the topics of Mechanics topic. Topics like SHM and Waves were least touched by the examiner.

NEET Analysis - Chemistry

As per the analysis of NEET by experts, majority of questions were from Class 11 syllabus, around 51%. The overall difficulty of the section was medium. Physical chemistry remained the most asked topic in the chemistry section combined with class 11 and 12 syllabus. The detailed distribution and the difficulty level has been given in the table below.

NEET Analysis - Biology

Botany

Since NEET is a medical exam, the focus is relatively more on Biology as compared to other two subjects. The previous year analysis of NEET indicates that the maximum number of the questions were asked from topics like Genetics, Biotechnology and Plant Physiology. Zoology

NEET 2018 analysis suggest that in Zoology section, most of the questions were asked from Class 11 syllabus especially from the topic of Human Physiology. 61% of the questions that appeared in the zoology section were of easy level. The overall distribution and difficulty level has been tabulated below.

NEET 2019 cut off

In order to qualify the examination, each candidate is required to secure a minimum required percentile. For each category, the qualifying percentile is different. The cut off score corresponding to the percentile will be issued with the declaration of result by June 5, 2019. The score will be out of the total of 720 marks.
