The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025, held on May 4. This year, a total of 22,06,069 candidates appeared for the exam. The medical entrance exam was conducted at 5,468 centers across 552 Indian cities and 14 international locations, including Dubai, Doha, Singapore, and Kathmandu.

The participation of female candidates continued to rise, with 13.1 lakh women registering for the exam, surpassing the 9.65 lakh male candidates.

🥇 NEET UG 2025 Toppers

Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a percentile score of 99.9999547.
He was followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra, both securing second position.
The Top 10 ranks were dominated by students from Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab, and Maharashtra, primarily from the General category.

MBBS, BDS
BSc (Hons) Nursing
Veterinary courses
AYUSH programs: BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS

NTA's role ends with the declaration of results based on NMC eligibility criteria. State and central authorities will now use the All India Rank (AIR) to prepare merit lists for respective counselling procedures.

🧾 Counselling and Seat Allocation:

MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will conduct counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
State authorities will manage seat allocation under their respective jurisdictions.
The result will also apply to:
- 15% VCI quota for BVSc & AH courses
- AACCC counselling for AYUSH admissions
