The CBSE board on Thursday announced that Class 12 students who could not appear for the Hindi board exam on March 15 due to Holi will get another opportunity.
Though Holi will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, in some areas the celebrations may extend till the next day as well. As a result, the CBSE has decided to give students an opportunity to take the Hindi exam at a later date, to ensure that no student is deprived due to the festivals.
The latest notice from CBSE said, "Accordingly, in view of the constraints faced by some students, it has been decided that the examination will be held on 15.03.2025, but students who find it difficult to appear in it may decide not to appear on that day i.e. 15.03.2025."

CBSE Hindi Exam Dates
The CBSE board's Class 12 Hindi Core (302)/Hindi Elective (002) exams are scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 15. However, due to Holi celebrations which may continue till Saturday, the CBSE board has announced that it will provide another opportunity to students.
The CBSE notice said, "...such students will be given an opportunity to appear along with the students for whom special examinations are conducted as per the Board's policy under which a special examination is conducted for students participating in national or international level sports competitions."
CBSE Board Exams
The CBSE board's Class 12 exams will run till April 2 and Class 10 exams till March 18.
CBSE had proposed conducting two board exams for Class 10 students for the academic year starting 2026. The proposed system gives students a second chance to improve their marks while retaining the current exam structure. Students can choose to take a second exam in any subject they wish.
