There are only two ways through which a student can get familiar with the guidelines and the exam pattern of class 11 and they are: through the CBSE Class 11 Sample papers and via syllabus of class 11 CBSE 2025-26.

The CBSE Class 11 Syllabus 2025-26 makes a student aware about these following things: 

  • Duration of the Exam: For the main subjects, the duration of the exam will be 3 hours and for the subjects who have weightage of 50 marks, the duration of the exam will be 1.5 hours. 
  • Medium of the question paper: The medium of the question paper is either English or Hindi. It is important for all the students to note that they can't write their answers mixing both the languages. 
  • Marking scheme of the exam: The markings for each question is divided differently for each subject throughout the question papers of class 11. To get a detailed explanation of the class 11th, it is advisable for all the students to go through the subject wise CBSE Class 11 syllabus 2025-26. 

A modification which we have been doing this year is that the term-wise exam has been removed from the Central Board of Secondary Education board and one final exam will be conducted for the academic session 2025-26.
