NTA will share the JEE Main 2026 result dates for different sessions on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can use these results to apply for admission to 32 NITs, 26 IIITs, 40 GFTs, and other institutes. Check the table below for the JEE Main 2026 result date and time.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results will be out in the second week of February. For Session 2, results will be announced in the third week of April.

JEE Main Tie-Breaker
In the event that multiple candidates achieve the same score in the JEE Main exam, a tie-breaking procedure is applied. To resolve ties, the following methods will be employed:
Tie-Breaking for JEE Main Paper 1
- Priority will be given to Mathematics scores, followed by Physics and Chemistry scores.
- Candidates with more correct answers in comparison to incorrect answers.
- Older candidates will receive preference.
- Application numbers in ascending order will be considered.
Tie-Breaking for JEE Main Paper 2
- Initially, Mathematics scores will be taken into account. If the tie persists, Aptitude and Drawing scores will be considered.
- If the tie still persists, preference will be given to candidates with more correct responses.
- Older candidates will be given further preference.
- Finally, application numbers in ascending order will be used to break the tie.
