Chapter 1 - Relations and Functions

The Chapter 1 of CBSE Class 12 deals with the concept of relations and functions, domain, co-domain and range which have already been presented in class 11 syllabus along with several types of specific real-valued functions and their graphs. Chapter 2 - Inverse Trigonometric Functions

Also, the 6 exercises are given in a way that you will study many properties of determinants, minors, adjoint and inverse of a square matrix, cofactors and applications of determinants in finding the area of a triangle, consistency and inconsistency of system of linear equations and solution of linear equations in 2 or 3 variables using inverse of a matrix in these practices.

Chapter 5: Continuity and Differentiability

This chapter is the addition of differentiation of functions which you have studied in Class 11. You must have learnt to differentiate some functions such as polynomial functions and trigonometric functions. This chapter describes the very important concepts of continuity, differentiability and relationships between them. You will be reading about the differentiation of inverse trigonometric functions. Moreover, you will be getting introduced to a new class of functions called exponential and logarithmic functions. There is a total of 8 exercises in this chapter so you will have to give some extra time and effort to get well versed with this chapter.

Chapter 6 - Application of Derivatives

In Chapter 5, you would see how to find a derivative of composite functions, exponential functions, inverse trigonometric functions, implicit functions and logarithmic functions. In this chapter, you will study the importance of the derivative in different disciplines such as science, engineering and many other fields. For example, we will study how the derivative can be applied to determine the rate of change of quantities and to get the equations of tangent and normal to a drop at a point and many more way of derivatives. We will also use the derivative to find intervals of decreasing or increasing functions. There are 5 exercises in total where you will get a detailed insight into the Use of Derivatives. Finally, the derivative is used to determine the approximate value of certain quantities.

Chapter 7 - Integrals

Differential Calculus is based on the concept of the derivative. Derivative came into being for the difficulty of defining tangent lines to the graphs of functions and determining the slope of such lines. Integral Calculus raises the problem of determining and calculating the area of the area bounded by the graph of the functions. With a total of 11 exercises in total, you will have to read every topic and their related questions with absolute concentration.  

Chapter 8: Application of Integrals

In this chapter, you will read some specific application of integrals to get the area provided under the simple curves, also, area between lines and arcs of circles, parabolas and ellipses. There are 2 exercises in this chapter in which you will also deal with getting the area bounded by the above-said curves.

Chapter 9 - Differential Equations
