NSO Registration 2023

Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply need to apply through their schools only. The SOF doesn’t accept individual applications from students. The complete details related to the National Science Olympiad are as follows.

• The school needs to contact the Science Olympiad Foundation in order to get registered.
• After that, registered schools will receive a prospectus and registration forms from the SOF
• It is mandatory for the school to have a minimum of 10 interested students in order to get registered.
• In case any school wants to get the prospectus without getting registered then it can get it by sending an email at info@sofworld.org or by giving a call at 0124-4951200.
• After getting the registration form, the school needs to get the registration form filled by their students.
• Please note that the details entered in the registration form must be accurate. In case of incorrect or fabricated details, the registration form might get rejected.
• Finally, the school has to submit the duly filled registration forms along with the student’s registration sheet to the SOF’s office before the last date.

.NSO Registration Fee

Each participating student of registered schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, except a student suffering from any major physical disability or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defence operations, are required to pay a charge of Rs 125 (including 18% GST) towards the cost of the examination.

The application fee for other countries is US$9.

However, an additional charge of Rs 25 may be charged by the schools towards honorarium of in-charge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses.

NSO Roll numbers

The school's coordinating teacher is required to fill the School Registration Form (SRF) along with the Students' Registration  Sheet (SRS) as per the guidelines given to them. A copy of this needs to be sent to the SOF office before the due date. Thereafter, the SOF will register the applicant school and the students. It will then generate roll numbers for all students as per the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS).

As per the information on the official website of NSO, Principals/teachers may note that any school can be registered as a centre for SOF NSO. No fee is required from the institution to become a registered examination centre
