The ratio of Simple interest paid by Arun and Anil is 3 ∶ 4. Find the rate of interest paid by Arun if the time period for both Arun and Anil is the same?

    Solution

The principal amount borrowed by Arun is Rs. 12000 and he paid Rs. 900 as a simple interest

And Principal amount borrowed by Anil is Rs. 18000 at a 10% rate of interest.

Ratio of Simple interest paid by Arun to Anil is 3 ∶ 4

    Let the ratio be x.

    ⇒ 3x = 900

    ⇒ x = 300

    Interest paid by Anil = 4x = 4 × 300 = Rs. 1200

There is an unlimited number of identical balls of three different colours. How many arrangements of almost 7 ball in a row can be made by using them?

    Solution

Given, the question we have an unlimited number of identical balls of three different colours.

    Now,

Therefore, the number of arrangements of almost 7 balls in a row that can be made (n) =

As we can see it is in GP. We will use GP because we can see here that there is a sequence of numbers where each term after the first is found by multiplying the previous one by a fixed number.
