All those things which are composed of non-living things are called abiotic resources. Fish is a living being. Hence, it is a biotic resource.

1: Resources can broadly be classified upon their availability — they are classified into renewable and non-renewable resources. Examples of non renewable resources are coal, crude oil etc. Examples of renewable resources are air, water, natural gas, wind, solar energy, etc.
2:The resources which can be renewed or reproduced by physical, chemical or mechanical processes are known as renewable or replenishable resources. For example, solar and wind energy, water, forests and wildlife, etc. 

3: Non-renewable resources occur over a very long geological time. Minerals and fossil fuels are examples of such resources. These resources take millions of years in their formation. Some of the resources like metals are recyclable and some like fossil fuels cannot be recycled and get exhausted with their use

Among the given options, buildings are made by human beings for their own use.

On the basis of ownership resources are classified as follows:

• Individual resources are owned by an individual. Example - land owned by a farmer.
  
• Community resources are owned by a community. Example - graveyard, parks, ponds etc
  
• National resources are owned by a nation's government. Examples - roads, railways etc.
  
• International resources like oceans and seas are regulated by international bodies.
  

People can make the best use of nature to create more resources when they have the knowledge, skill and the technology to do so. Education helps in making human into a resource. For example scientists developed technology to harness solar energy. 

• Environmental resources are those resources which are the elements of environment.
  

These are of different types like:

• Socio-economic resources which includes farms, parks, etc.
  
• Cultural resources like archaeological sites.
  
• Natural resources like plains, soil, vegetation and wildlife.
  

• Biotic resources are derived from living things.
  
• Based on the object possessing life or not, the objects are classified as biotic and abiotic. 
  
• Biotic: These are living organisms that possess life and carry on metabolism accordingly. Human beings, flora and fauna, fisheries, and live stocks fall under this category.
  

• The history of colonization reveals that rich resources in colonies were the main attractions for the foreign invaders. It was primarily the higher level of technological development of the colonizing countries that helped them to exploit resources of other regions and establish their supremacy over the colonies. 
  
• For example, the teak plantation in South India had destroyed the habitat of several species during that time.

• On the basis of ownership resources are classified as follows:
  
• Individual: Resources owned by an individual. Example-land owned by a farmer.
  
• Community:  There are resources which are accessible to all the members of the community. 
  
• Pond can be owned by a community (villagers) and also by an individual.
  

• Resources which are surveyed for their quality and quantity and have determined to be useful are called potential resources.
  
• These resources include metals, non-metals, natural resources like water, etc.
