The indirect speech of the given sentence would be 'Steve asked John how much the rent of his flat was' as the direct speech is in simple present tense which changes to simple past in indirect speech. Also, the question in direct speech changes to a statement in indirect speech; therefore, 'was' is to be placed at the end of the sentence.

The indirect speech of the give sentence is 'The boy said that it gave him immense pleasure to be there that evening'. As per the rule, 'simple present' changes to 'simple past', i.e. 'gives' changes to 'gave', 'here' changes to 'there' and 'this' changes to 'that'.

As per the rule, 'said' changes according to the sentence. Here, the given sentence seems to be a proposal or a suggestion; therefore 'said' changes to 'proposed' or 'suggested', 'us' changes to 'they' and 'should' represents the proposal. Hence, the indirect speech is 'she proposed that they should wait for her turn'.
