What is the respective ratio of the number of IT Technicians who work in Wipro and the number of IT Technicians who work in L&T?

    Solution

    Given:

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in L&T = 8%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13%

No. of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13% of 2000

    2000×13100 = 260

No. of IT Technicians in L&T = 8% of 2000

    2000×8100 = 160

    ∴ Required ratio = 260 : 160

    = 13 ∶ 8

What is the total no. of IT Technicians in HCL, TCS, and CTS?

    Solution

    Given:

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in HCL= 23%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in TCS = 27%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in CTS = 12%

No. of IT Technicians in HCL = 23% of 2000

    2000×23100 = 460

No. of IT Technicians in TCS = 27% of 2000

    2000×27100 = 540

No. of IT Technicians in CTS = 12% of 2000

    2000×12100 = 240

Total no. of IT technician = No. of IT Technicians in HCL + No. of IT Technicians in TCS + No. of IT Technicians in CTS

    = 460 + 540 + 240 = 1240

∴ The required answer is 1240.

What is the difference between the total number IT Technicians who work in TCS and Infosys together and the total number of IT Technicians who work in Wipro and CTS together?

    Solution

    Given:

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in TCS = 27%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in Infosys = 17%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in CTS = 12%

    Total IT Technicians = 2000

No. of IT Technicians in TCS = 27% of 2000

    2000×27100 = 540

No. of IT Technicians in Infosys = 17% of 2000

    2000×17100 = 340

No. of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13% of 2000

    2000×13100 = 260

No. of IT Technicians CTS = 12% of 2000

    2000×12100 = 240

    Total IT Technicians in TCS and Infosys = 540 + 340 = 880

    Total IT Technicians in Wipro and CTS = 260 + 240 = 500

Difference = Total IT Technicians in TCS and Infosys - Total IT Technicians in Wipro and CTS

    ∴ Required difference = 880 – 500 = 380

  • Question 4

If the percentage of Wipro IT Technicians are increased by 10% and the percentage of L&T IT Technicians are decreased by 25% then what will be the total number of Wipro and L&T IT Technicians together?

    Solution

    Given:

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13%

Percentage distribution of IT Technicians in L&T = 8%

No. of IT Technicians in Wipro = 13% of 2000

    2000×13100 = 260

No. of IT Technicians in Wipro after 10% increase = 260 + 10% of 260

    = 260 + 260×10100

    = 260 + 26 = 286

No. of IT Technicians in L&T = 8% of 2000

    2000×8100 = 160

    No. of IT Technicians in L&T after 25% decrease = 160 - 25% of 160

    = 160 - 160×25100

    = 160 - 40 = 120

    Total number of Wipro and L&T IT Technicians = 286 + 120 = 406

∴ The required answer is 406.

For which of the following school, the semesters attended by the Students is the highest in all the quarters?

    Solution

    Number of students attending semesters for school A = (75+125 +100) = 300

    Number of students attending semesters for school B = (25+100+50) = 175

    Number of students attending semesters for school C = (125+50 +175) = 350

    Number of students attending semesters for school D = (75+75+100) = 250

    Number of students attending semesters for school E = (25+200+100) = 325

\(\therefore\) For school C, the semesters attended by the students is the highest in all the quarters.

Students attended the semesters of school C in all quarters is approximately how much percent more than the students attended the semesters of school E in all quarters?

    Solution

Number of students attended the semesters of school C = (125+50+175) = 350

Number of students attended the semesters of school E = (25+200+100) = 325

    \(\therefore\) Required Percentage = \(\left[\frac{(350-325)}{325}\right] \times 100\) = \(7.69 \% \approx\) 8%

  • Question 10
    1 / -0

Together, Raju and Monu can do a piece of work in 10.5 days. Raju alone takes 15 days to completed the same work. In how many days can Monu alone completed the same work?

    Solution

Let Monu alone can do a piece of work in x days.

    Then Monu's 1 day's work = 1x

Raju alone can do a piece of work in 15 days.

    Then Raju's 1 day's work = 115

    Similarly, (Raju + Monu)'s 1 day's work = 110.5

    According to the question,

    115 + 1x110.5

    ⇒ 1x110.5115 ⇒ x = 35
