The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a major examination conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), which provides students in grades 7 with the opportunity to showcase their passion and skills for mathematics at the national and international level.
IMO registration for the 2025-26 academic session is conducted offline through schools. Direct registration is generally not accepted. If your school is registered with SOF, you can easily apply for IMO 2026 by following the simple steps below.
IMO Class 7th Registration 2026: Steps
Receiving the Prospectus by School: First, schools registered with SOF receive the required prospectus and application forms for the IMO.
Receiving the Application Form: The school's Coordinating Teacher distributes these application forms to all interested students.
Filling the Form and Submitting Fees: Students will fill out the forms carefully and with correct information, and submit the prescribed registration fee of ₹125 (per student/per Olympiad) to their coordinating teacher.
Submission to SOF by School: School authorities send all completed forms and collected fees to the SOF office by the prescribed deadline.
Assignment of Roll Numbers: After processing the forms, each registered student is assigned a unique roll number by the school's coordinating teacher.
Downloading Admit Cards: Approximately a week before the exam, students can download their admit cards from the SOF's official website. The admit card is also sent to the students' registered email/mobile number.
