CBSE 12th Chemistry Exam 2019: Analysis, Review, Students' Reaction
Check review and analysis of CBSE 12th Chemistry paper 2019. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Class 12 Chemistry Board exam 2019 today (i.e., March 12, 2019) from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
6,00,000+ students of CBSE Class 12 Science having Chemistry as one of their subjects appeared for this exam. As usual, the gates of the CBSE examination centers were opened at 09:00 AM and closed at 10:00 AM.
The question papers of Chemistry subject were distributed to students between 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM. The time allotted to read the complete question paper was 15 minutes i.e. from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM. The examination began at 10:30 AM and continued till 1:30 PM.

There were 4 sections in the question paper:
• Section A: Question number 1 to 5 (Very short answer questions - 1 mark each)
• Section B: Question number 6 to 12 (Short answer questions - 2 marks each).
• Section C: Question number 13 to 24 (Short answer questions - 3 marks each).
• Section D: Question number 25 to 27 (Long answer questions - 5 marks each).

Highlights of the exam:
* The level of the paper is easy - medium.
* Questions came from the NCERT Class XII Chemistry & CBSE sample paper.
* Section D was a bit lengthy.
* Mostly question in the exam were the previous year repeated question of CBSE.
* Most of the questions in today's CBSE 12th Board Chemistry Paper were asked directly from textbook.
What students have to say about paper
* "Paper was easy. Numerical questions were directly asked from NCERT," said Kashis of Jospeh and Mary School, Delhi.
* "Paper was easy. I was able to finish it on time. It was scoring also. I think maximum students will clear the exam with good marks. Only one or two questions were tricky," said Aman Jeet Singh of the same school.
* "Most of the questions were from P and D block chapters. Last year, many hard questions were asked from Organic Chemistry but this time the questions were easy", said Akhilesh Singh Khatri
* "It was very easy in comparison to the Physics paper. Organic questions were directly asked from NCERT textbook. One marks questions were very easy. Only the three marks questions were a bit tricky," said Ritu Pandey
* "Full paper was from NCERT. It was an easy paper. According to me, no question was tricky. Many students finished the paper well before the time," said Ayush Thakur
* "Paper was easy. Detailed study of the NCERT must have helped the students. Two questions of three marks were tricky but these were also based in the NCERT. They are interconnected to each other. Set one was very easy then set 2 and 3," said Shubham Rawal.
Expected marks by students
Most of the students were very happy with the Class 12 Chemistry paper and are expecting high marks of above 60 in the 70-mark paper.
Parents also looked glad for the easy paper which can help students easy score over 90 percent in the full Chemistry exam.
