The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will close the registration for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 today, September 23. Students who want to apply for Class 6 admission for the 2025-26 session can do so on the official website, cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.

To register, they’ll need their registration number and date of birth. If they don’t have a registration number, they can get it by providing their name, parents’ names, and birthdate on the website.

Each district in India is meant to have one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), and currently, 653 schools are open across 27 states and 8 Union Territories. Each school can admit up to 80 students in Class 6 through a selection test, depending on how many students qualify.

JNVST 2025 Class 6 Admission: Exam date

JNVST 2025 Class 6 Exam Date: The JNV Selection Test for Class 6 will be held in two phases. The first phase is on April 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM. It will take place in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and in specific districts of Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and West Bengal.
