JEE Main Exam Analysis 2020 : 1st Shift Exam Analysis & Memory Based Question 4th September 2020
JEE Main 4 Sep 2020 exam is being held by National Testing Agency (NTA). As per the students who appeared in the first shift, the entrance exam is of Moderate level. As far as section wise analysis is concerned, Physics is considered to be difficult, Chemistry and Mathematics was Moderate-Easy. Shift 1 time: 9 AM to 12:00 Noon

What could be the expected cut off based on student’s analysis?
As per the review given by the student’s for 4 Sep exam various coaching institutes have released the expected cut off for qualifying for JEE Advanced. Hence, based on unofficial sources, the expected cut off for JEE Main 2020 could be as follows:

1st attempts v/s 2nd attempt – Candidates who appeared for both the attempts said that 1st attempt i.e for January was easy compared to April / Sep attempt.
Maths was lengthy – Many students commented that the Mathematics was lengthy and was of Moderate difficulty level.
Weightage in Chemistry – Maximum weightage for inorganic chemistry in today’s shift.
Same questions as NTA paper – Some students said that few questions in today’s shift were same as questions provided in NTA paper.
Questions asked – Some of the questions asked shift 1 today’s exam were as follows
- There was one question in which students had to find the magnetic spun of an electron.
- One question was from Co-ordinate geometry.
- There was one question from metallurgy in which four terms were given and students had to find the correct one.
- There is always one question from Biomolecule, Surface chemistry.
- You will always find 2 questions from Sequence and Series, binomial, differential equation.
Important note: Most of the questions asked in today’s exam were directly from NCERT.

JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern
NTA has changed JEE Main 2020 exam pattern from last year. Candidates can check the exam pattern for JEE Main 2020 exam from below:
Mode of the exam – It is going to be conducted in computer-based test.
Language of question paper – JEE Main papers are distributed in Hindi, English, or Gujarati language based on the option selected by the students in their application form.
Duration of the exam – The entrance exam is of 03 hours duration.
Marking scheme – For a correct answer, +4 marks are given and for incorrect answer, -1 marks are deducted. No marks are deducted for questions left unattempted / under review.

- For a correct answer, you will get 04 marks.
- For an incorrect answer, 01 marks are deducted.
- There is no negative marking for numerical-value type questions.
- Questions left unanswered / under review, no marks are deducted or added.
