After giving the CUET 2026 exam, the most important step for students is counselling. CUET is a national level exam, but its counselling is not conducted by any one institution. Rather, every university or institute that participates in CUET conducts its own counselling process.

When will CUET 2026 Counselling take Place?

The result of CUET 2026 is expected to be declared in July 2026. After the result is out, counselling will start from August 2026. Every university will release the counselling schedule on its official portal.

CUET 2026 Counselling Process

The CUET counselling process is simple, but every student must follow the steps carefully:

Rank list will be released – Each university will release the merit/rank list based on the result.
Online registration – Candidates have to register on the university website.
Online/offline counselling – Some institutes conduct counselling online, while some do it offline.
Seat allotment – Selected candidates will be allotted a course and seat.
Fee payment and document verification – To get admission, candidates have to pay the fee and get all the required documents verified.

Class 10th mark sheet
Class 12th mark sheet
CUET 2026 Admit Card
CUET 2026 Scorecard
Caste Certificate (if applicable)

CUET 2026: Spot Admission

If seats remain vacant after the counseling rounds, spot admission will be done.
Students have to check the notification on the official website of the university.
To participate in the spot round, the student has to come to the campus and get his documents verified.
