JEE Main 2026 Photo Verification Closes Tonight – Non-Aadhaar Applicants Must Act Now
SHARING IS CARING
If our Website helped you a little, then kindly spread our voice using Social Networks. Spread our word to your readers, friends, teachers, students & all those close ones who deserve to know what you know now.
This information is especially for those who filled out the JEE Main form using their Voter ID, passport, or another document instead of their Aadhaar card. The NTA requires a photo verification certificate from you, and today is the last day to submit it. The link will be disabled starting tonight.
Did You Get an Email From NTA?
The NTA did not ask everyone to do this. Only a few candidates were flagged – mostly those who had used non-Aadhaar documents during registration or whose photos did not match the photos on record.
If you are one of them, they would have sent an email to your registered ID with instructions and a link. Go and check your inbox. Also, check your spam folder, as sometimes these emails end up there.
Didn't receive an email? Then you're probably fine, and this doesn't apply to you.

The Whole Process
So what do you actually need to do?
Log in to jeemain.nta.nic.in. From there, you will need to download a certificate. Print it out. Take a recent passport-sized photograph (showing your face clearly) and paste it onto the form.
Now you'll need an authorized person to verify it. Your school principal is the easiest option. They will sign it, stamp it, and that's it. If you've left school or for any reason you can't contact your principal, any gazetted officer will also work. A Tehsildar, SDM, or DM – any of them will do.
After getting the signatures and stamps, scan the document. Make sure the scan is clear and legible – blurry scans will cause problems. Save it as a PDF and upload it through your login on the JEE Main portal.
That's all.
Why You Should Also Keep a Hard Copy
People often forget this. You will need to take this certificate to the exam center.
They conduct physical verification at the gate. If you have uploaded the certificate but don't have a printed copy of it on the day of the exam, you might face problems. They may or may not let you in. Why take the risk?
Just print an extra copy and keep it with your admit card.
What's NTA's Deal With This?
They are taking extra precautions regarding identity verification. The JEE Main exam has previously faced problems with impersonation. This certificate system is essentially an attempt by the NTA to ensure that the person who applied is the same person present in the examination hall.
Although this might be a little inconvenient for some students, their approach is understandable.
Exam Starts January 21
The first session will be held from January 21 to 29. Admit cards have not yet been released, but they are expected to be available any day now. City slips will also be released soon.
The point is – the exams are approaching. Very soon. You wouldn't want any pending verification issues to ruin everything at the last minute.
If you are one of the affected candidates, drop everything else and do this today. Call your school, get the signature, scan it, and upload it. You only have a few hours left.
What You Need to Do Right Now
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in. Download the certificate. Affix your photograph. Get it signed by the principal or a gazetted officer. Scan the certificate clearly. Upload it as a PDF. Print a copy for the exam day.
Tonight is the last date.
Don't miss this opportunity.
