CBSE 12 English Unseen Passages 2026-27: Most Important Passages & Practice Questions

In this post, we have prepared the most important Unseen Passages related to Section A (Reading Skills) of CBSE Class 12 English. This section carries a total of 22 marks in the board examination, so its preparation is crucial.

According to the latest CBSE exam pattern 2026-27, two types of Unseen Passages are asked in this section. The first is a Factual, Discursive, or Literary Passage with questions based on Comprehension, Interpretation, Analysis, and Inference.

The second is a Case-Based Factual Passage which includes Statistical Data, Charts, and Visual Inputs. The combined word limit for both passages is 700-750 words. It includes MCQ, Objective Type, and Short Answer Type questions.
