Mathematics Moderate

JEE Main 2019 : Analysis for Physics

It has been noticed that the Physics section was tough. Moderate questions were asked from Mechanics and Electrostatics.

Students found the question of optics tough. The question from Electricity was moderate.

The mechanics section in the physics section were tricky. The first 15 questions in the physics section were difficult.

The remaining 15 questions were easy in physics. Some students attempted the question of optics easily.

So we can say candidates have given mixed reviews for the optics section.

Topics from which questions were asked in Physics

  • Logic Gate
  • Modulation Index Calculation
  • Spring Constants
  • Mechanics
  • Electricity
  • Electrostatics
  • Lenses
  • Satellite

Questions asked in the Physics section

Qs 1. There was a question on waves in which the amplitude of the wave was given as 1X10^-3(50x+2t), candidates had to find the propagation

Qs 2. A galvanometer was given candidates were asked to find the value of a potentiometer

Qs 3. There was a question of satellite, in which the there was a satellite which was hit by a meteorite and as a result, the satellite was going downwards. The candidates were asked to find the orbit of the resultant mass.

JEE Main 2019 : Analysis for Chemistry

Students found Chemistry section easy to moderate. Candidates should focus more on Environmental chemistry.

There were comparatively fewer questions from Physical Chemistry. Equally distribution of question was asked from organic and Inorganic chemistry.

There were theoretical questions like Biomolecule question was there in Chemistry.

Topics from which questions were asked in Chemistry

  • D-blocks
  • Bio-molecule :- 4 questions
  • Melting Point
  • Reaction :- 4 questions
  • Polymers
  • Chemical Equilibrium

Questions asked in the Chemistry section

Qs 1. The critical temperature of 4 gases was given and was asked which will be least adsorbed on charcoal

Qs 2. When alkali metals react with excess oxygen and produce X….name the X product?

Qs 3. There was a question from polymers in which the composition of polymers was asked

Qs 4. Pressure and volume of an ideal gas were given. The students had to calculate its energy.

JEE Main 2019 : Analysis for Mathematics

As per students reaction Mathematics was easy. Candidates have found the question from Maxima Minima, and Integration to be tricky in maths.

Topics from which questions were asked in Mathematics

  • Probability
  • Parabola
  • Maxima, Minima
  • Integration
  • Trigonometry

Questions asked in the Mathematics section

Qs 1. There was a question on Inverse trigonometry where the value of sin x was given, candidates had to find its value using cosπ.

Qs 2. There was another question where a parabola was given inside which there was a rectangle. Candidates were asked to find the coordinates of the rectangle.

Qs 3. A probability question was also asked. A fair dice rolled, it was rolled until 2 consecutive numbers were found. Students were asked to find the probability in the 5th throw.

JEE Main 2019 Student Reaction for Shift 1

1. The Security check was very high at the examination centers.

2. One should give maximum time to Mathematics.

3. Some students have also said that first he/she should start with Chemistry, Mathematics and then remaining time Physics.

4. Few systems were slow at one of the exam centers.

5. While some students have said that, Physics and Chemistry were easy but physics was difficult.

6. Mathematics was lengthy and calculations were time-consuming.

7. As per one student who has taken the test, physics was tough; maths was easy; chemistry was moderate.

8. If we see overall then, Physics was lengthy.

9. As per one of the students, Chemistry was difficult.
