The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam schedule. The agency released the exam city slip today on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the new schedule, the first session will now be held between January 21 and 29, 2026. The second session is scheduled from April 2 to 9, 2026.

The NTA had earlier released an advisory on October 19 stating different dates. The first session was initially planned from January 21 to 30, and the second session was scheduled from April 1 to 10, 2026.
JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 Exam Schedule
The JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts each day:
- First Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Second Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam Dates
The JEE Main Paper 2 exam will be conducted on January 30, 2026. This includes Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), or both papers combined. The exam will be held in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

How to Download JEE Main 2026 City Slip
Candidates can download their city slip from the official website. You'll need to enter the following details:
- Application number
- Password
- Date of birth
- Security pin displayed on the screen

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Release Date
The NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards by the second week of January 2026. The January session will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026, at various centers across India and abroad.
Steps to Download JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
Follow these simple steps to download your admit card:
- Visit the official NTA JEE website at jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the Session 1 hall ticket link
- Enter your login credentials
- Submit the details
- Your admit card will appear on the screen
- Download and take a printout for future reference
JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern
JEE Main 2026 will follow the same two-session format as previous years. The exam consists of two papers:
- Paper 1: For BE/BTech aspirants
- Paper 2: For BArch/BPlanning candidates
The first session will run from January 21 to 30, 2026, while the second session is scheduled from April 2 to 9, 2026. The NTA's October 19 notice had initially announced April 1 to 10 as the second session dates.
