The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified that no request for changing the uploaded marks in any way will be accepted by the Board. It directed all schools to follow the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) issued for practical examinations, otherwise the examinations will be cancelled.

“It has been observed that some schools are making serious mistakes and requesting the board to change the result after it is declared. Therefore, schools are being instructed to follow the instructions given here as no request for changing the uploaded marks in any way will be accepted by CBSE,” the CBSE board said.

Official Notice - CBSE Practical Exam Guidelines

CBSE Class 10, 12 practical examinations will be conducted from January 1 to 14 for 2024 regular session schools.

CBSE Practical Exam Guidelines

“CBSE has a prescribed subject-wise syllabus and most subjects have 2 or 3 assessment components – theory and practical, project, internal assessment. The syllabus also includes the division of maximum marks for theory question papers and practicals,” the board said.

The marks of all the practical examinations will be uploaded simultaneously from the dates of conduct of the examination. “The uploading of marks will be completed by the last date of the respective classes. Any extension of dates will not be considered by the board,” it said. "Those found guilty of communicating or attempting to communicate with the examiners to influence the examiners in any way or use any other undesirable means for taking unfair advantage during the examination/assessment," the board said.

"Students will be held liable for using/attempting unfair means." Said. CBSE has asked examiners to immediately report to the concerned regional office if students are found using unfair means. Similarly, examiners should not disclose the marks obtained in practical examinations as its sanctity is the same as that of the annual theory examination. Schools have been instructed to immediately contact the regional office if names of students are missing in the list.
