JEE Advanced 2025: Documents Needed for Registration After Nov 5 College Quit Notification

The Joint Admission Board (JAB) has shared new guidelines for students who dropped out of college and want to register for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. This update came after a notice on November 5, and the revised brochure for JEE Advanced 2025 is now available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
Important News for College Dropouts
A statement on the IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced website said that as a result of the recent order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (relating to Writ Petition (Civil) Nos. 854/2024 and 17/2025) dated 10.01.2025, students who appeared in their Class 12 examination for the first time in 2023 and withdrew from their courses and dropped out between 05.11.2024 to 18.11.2024 will be allowed to register for JEE (Advanced) 2025. These candidates will have to mandatorily submit certain documents.
JEE Advanced 2025: Documents Required
1. Letter from the Institution: A signed and stamped letter from the Head of the institution (Dean, Principal, or Director) in the format provided in the Form Withdrawn-Certificate.
2. Affidavit: Affidavit duly stamped and attested by a Notary Public on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 10, as per the format given in the Form Withdrawn-Certificate. If the candidate is above 18 years of age, the affidavit should be his/hers. If the candidate is below 18 years of age, the affidavit should be given by his/her parent or legal guardian.
3. Withdrawal Letter: Withdrawal letter/notification issued to the candidate from his/her college/university/institution.
This decision follows the Supreme Court's order on January 10, allowing these dropout students to register for JEE Advanced 2025. It comes a month after the JAB increased the number of JEE Advanced attempts from two to three and restored the earlier eligibility rules for the number of attempts.
