Candidates can check the responses of JEE Main January 29, 2025 Shift 1 students, difficulty level of questions, paper analysis, memory-based question paper with answer key and solutions, etc.
Shift 2 will start at 03:00 PM and end at 06:00 PM. Candidates will have to show their JEE Main 2025 Session 1 admit card to enter the JEE Main 2025 exam centre for the shift 2 exam. Additionally, candidates will have to bring a government-issued photo identity card and a passport-sized photograph. Proper adherence to these entry requirements is necessary to attend the exam.
Paper 1 for BE/BTech candidates in JEE Main 2025 will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29. Paper 2A and 2B for BArch and BPlan candidates are scheduled on January 30, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

JEE Main Exam Analysis 29 January 2025 Shift 1: Students' Reviews
Candidates can check the JEE Main 2025 Exam Analysis for 29 January Shift 1 through the students' reactions who have appeared for the exam below.
- Maths was tough with 3-4 questions from 3D Vector chapter
- Physics was easy with 1 question from Ray Optics which was difficult, 1 question from Electrostatics, 2 question from Modern Physics out of which 1 was hard and 1 was doable. No questions from Current Electricity and Rotation chapter.
- Chemistry was moderate with 1 question from GOC, 2 questions from Chemical Bonding. Most questions were from Physical Chemistry (around 11 questions) followed by Inorganic Chemistry then Organic Chemistry. Physical Chemistry dominated in numerical type questions. In few numericals Organic Chemistry was mixed with Physical Chemistry. 7-8 direct formula-based questions and rest questions were doable in Chemistry. No calculations were there in numericals of Physical Chemistry but direct equations were given.
- Students were able to attempt only 9-12 questions in Maths.
- As per many students who attended JEE Main 29 January 2025 Shift 1, 99 percentile would be 200-210 marks

As per the students feedback, overall the paper was moderate. Mathematics as usual was tough, and Physics and Chemistry was easy to moderate. However, the JEE Main paper 1 Jan 29 shift 1 was easy compared to JEE Main Jan 28 exam.
JEE Main 2025 January 29 Updates: Questions asked in shift 1 paper
- Chemistry - Easy to Moderate. Had questions about Biomolecules, Halogens, Optical Rotation, CFSE.
- Physics - Moderate. Important topics were Dimensions, Time Period in Pendulum, Wavelength and Kinetic Energy.
- Mathematics - Tough
JEE Mains Jan 29 : Physics Paper Analysis
The JEE Main physics section was balanced. A few physics questions had confusing options. The section was balanced 2comprising concept and formula-based questions.
Overall, the physics had really good doable questions.
JEE Main Jan 29 Shift 1 Chemistry section was easy to moderate
The chemistry section of JEE Main January 20 shift 1 was easy. The questions were balanced covering the following topics -
- Chemical bonding- 1 to 2 questions
- Physical- had more questions than inorganic with 7 to 8 questions
- Organic and physical chemistry were combined to form numerical questions, which were easy to attempt.
