Section-Wise Guide To The JAC 10th Maths Model Paper 2026 Free PDF

Each section of the JAC Board 10th Maths model paper 2026 tests a different skill. Whereas MCQs evaluate quick recall, long answers check your step-by-step problem-solving. When you know what the section tests, you can decide how to write your answers as well as how much time you should give to every part. We have divided this section by section in the table below.

Section

What It Tests

How To Approach It

A (1 mark)

Formulas, definitions, and quick calculations from every chapter, such as finding the HCF, the nature of roots, or a trigonometric ratio

Solve each problem directly, and select the correct option from those provided. No single problem should take you more than a minute to solve.

B (2 marks)

Short, direct problems that need one or two steps, such as finding the zeroes of a polynomial or the distance between two points

Write down the equation; substitute the values into it; and then write down the answer. Even if your answer is a short one, you must show how you obtained it.

C (3 marks)

Multi-step problems, such as proving a number is irrational, solving AP questions, or proving trigonometric identities

Show all the steps, as marks are awarded step by step. In proofs, state the reason behind each step.

D (5 marks)

Long problems, such as heights and distances, word problems on quadratic equations, mensuration of combined solids, and the mean or median of grouped data

Draw a well-labeled diagram, if necessary; state the given and required quantities, and show the solution in proper steps.

Science

Whereas MCQs evaluate quick recall of facts and formulas, long answers check if you can explain processes with diagrams.

Section

What It Tests

How To Approach It

A (1 mark)

Facts, definitions, chemical formulas, SI units, and quick calculations from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Answer the questions which you are certain about first, and then answer the rest. Carefully read all options as most of them only vary from each other by a word.

B (2 marks)

Short answers, such as balancing a chemical equation, defining a term, or solving a one-step numerical problem on resistance or power

Keep your answers concise. In case of numericals, state the formula along with the answer.

C (3 marks)

Explanations and reasons, such as why a reaction happens, how a process works, or numericals on mirrors and lenses

Answer the question concisely and if there’s a need for a diagram, draw one.

D (5 marks)

Detailed answers, such as life processes in humans, ray diagrams, combinations of resistors, types of chemical reactions, or heredity

Divide the answer into short points and always label the diagrams and balance equations.

Social Science

Whereas MCQs evaluate quick recall of facts, long answers check if you can write well-organized descriptive answers.

Section

What It Tests

How To Approach It

A (1 mark)

Key dates, events, people, terms, and facts from History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics

Give two short points, one per mark. Do not give any detailed explanation at all.

C (3 marks)

Explanations in a few points, such as the causes of an event, the features of a resource, or the role of an institution

State three separate points in sentences, with the use of a fact or date where possible.

D (5 marks)

Long descriptive answers, such as the causes and effects of a historical movement, types of resources, or the sectors of the economy

Begin with an introduction in one line, then make five points each with its heading, and conclude with one line.

How To Use The Jharkhand Board Class 10 Maths Model Paper 2026 For Revision?

A JAC Class 10 Model Question Paper free PDF can only work best when you use it like the real exam and not just another worksheet. You should attempt it only once you are done with the entire syllabus. If you solve it in the middle of the year, it will only reveal the chapters that you have not covered yet. Here are some techniques on how you can use the paper in a better way.

  • You have to allocate yourself enough time for the entire paper. Keep yourself away from JAC Class 10 Textbooks or notes, and sit at a table. You should write the answers the way you would in the exam hall, with the headings and working. This is the only way to know how much time the paper takes to solve.

  • After you are done, you can mark your answers using your textbook or solution papers. You have to do strict marking and check if your answer is incomplete or missing a step; then you shouldn’t mark yourself fully. Add up all your marks out of 80 in the Jharkhand Board Class 10 Maths model paper 2026.

  • Make a list of the chapters where you scored less. You have to go through all the questions you attempted incorrectly and those questions you didn’t attempt at all. In a matter of minutes, you will have the list of the chapters you should focus on more. The list is more important than the score you get.

  • For the next few days, you should only revise the weak chapters. After that, attempt the JAC 10th Maths model paper 2026 with answers or a JAC Board Class 10 Previous Year Question Paper again in the same manner as before. If there is an improvement in your marks and you don’t repeat the same mistakes, then it means your revision was good.

  • Lastly, you should keep the checked paper with you. During the last week before your board exams, going through your mistakes is one of the fastest ways of revision.

Conclusion

JAC Class 10 Maths model paper 2026 PDF download provides you with an overview of your preparation in one go. It helps you find out how efficiently you are solving the paper as well as where you need to give more attention. You should make use of this resource along with past papers, as it will give you practice with new patterns and board-level questions. And most importantly, you should not stop your preparation only till score. Correcting the mistakes that you make after each attempt will help you score higher marks in the actual board exam.
