MP Board Book for Class 11th Physics Chapter 12- Thermodynamics
In this we will discuss the class 11th MP board physics chapter 12- thermodynamics. Some important definitions are being discussed.
- Thermodynamics is to study the relationship between the four that is heat, work, temperature and energy. Equilibrium in mechanics means that the net external force.
- According to Zeroth law of thermodynamics states that if two bodies are in thermal equilibrium with some other third body then all three are also in the same equilibrium.
- It is also considered as an energy transformation and it is always related to matter.
- First law of thermodynamics- It states that during an interaction it can be changed from one form to another form but the total remains constant as always.
- Second law of thermodynamics- Energy has quality as well as quantity, actual process starts when the energy’s quality and quantity decreases.
- Adiabatic process- The system is insulated from the surroundings and heat absorbed and released in zero.
- Isochoric process- In this process, V is constant, no work is done on or by the gas.
- Isobaric process- This process always takes place in a constant way.
- Cyclic Process- In this process, the system returns to the initial stage.
- Heat Engines- It is a device which is made to undergo a cyclic process which in the end results in a conversation of heat energy.
- Carnot engine- Carnot engine is a reversible engine operating between two temperatures.
Many more definitions are being taught in this chapter and a short summary is also given in this so that the student gets an idea about the chapter.
