MP Board Book for Class 12th Mathematics Chapter 11- Three Dimensional Geometry
In this chapter we will learn the topic of three dimensional geometry. It is basically the introduction to 3D shapes and its advanced concepts.
In this chapter we will learn direction cosines, direction ratio of lines, relation between direction of cosines of a line, direction cosines of a line passing through two points, equation of line in space, equation of line through a given point, equation of line through given two points, angle between two lines, shortest distance between two lines, distance between two skew lines, distance between parallel lines, equation of a plane in normal form, intercept form of the equation of a plane, plane passing through the two given planes, coplanarity of two planes, angle between two planes, distance of a form from a plane, angle between a line and a plane. Examples and sums are being given according to this topic taught in this chapter.
- Direction cosines of a line- These are the cosines which are made by the line with the positive direction of the coordinate axes.
- Direction ratio of a line are the numbers which are proportional to the direction cosines of a line.
- Skew lines are the lines in space which are neither parallel nor intersecting lines. They lie in a different space .
- Angle between skew lines is the angle drawn between two intersecting lines drawn from any point parallel to each of the skew lines.
