This is chapter 10-Mensuration of class 6th MP board. In this chapter some important definitions are being taught like perimeter, area and some formulas related to it are also taught.

Mensuration- It is a study in which all the measurements of 2D and 3D are being done, some of geometric shapes are also being taught. 

• Perimeter- It is a distance covered along the boundary which forms a closed figure. 
• Perimeter of a rectangle= 2( length + breadth)
• Perimeter of a square= 2( sides)
• Perimeter of a equilateral triangle= 3* length of a side
• Area- The amount of surface enclosed by a closed figure is called area of a figure.
• Area of rectangle= Length* breadth
• Area of a square= side*side

All the examples and questions are asked according to the formulas and topics being taught in this chapter. Mainly in this chapter we brief about mensuration, area and perimeter.
