CUET UG 2024 Application Form Till February 28, Says Report

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2024) application form for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses in central and other participating universities will be conducted till February 28. CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted between May 15 to 31. NTA is expected to conduct the exam in hybrid mode to allow students from rural areas to participate.

According to the Times of India report, CUET UG 2024 registration process will start in the next 10 to 11 days. Earlier, the application was expected to be on 19th February, however, there is no official confirmation on CUET registration date yet. Around 250 universities will offer admission to various first year degree courses through CUET score.

Applicants should note that qualifying the CUET exam will not confirm their admission to the applicable university as each institution will have different selection criteria. The Indian Express reported that the CUET UG exam 2024 will be conducted in hybrid mode this year to encourage participation of students from rural areas. OMR-based examination will be conducted along with Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for the subjects with highest number of registrations.

Furthermore, according to the report, the number of subject options will be reduced from 10 to 6 this year. This decision was taken because the maximum number of subjects chosen by the candidates last year was 5.

Around 28 lakh students participated in the second edition of CUET, making it the second biggest entrance exam in the country after NEET UG. National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the information brochure on the official website.
