After many exam postponements and cancellations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a CUET UG retest for about 1,000 candidates on July 19.
On July 7, the NTA released the provisional answer key for CUET UG 2024. They mentioned that a retest would be conducted between July 15 and 19 if any grievances raised by students about the exam were found to be valid.
A senior NTA official told The Indian Express that the CUET UG retest will be online. This includes roughly 250 candidates from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh, which is under investigation for a NEET UG leak. All candidates from this center must take the retest on July 19.
Other reasons for the retest include loss of time and distribution of question papers in the wrong language. The NTA will likely release the results by July 22, following the retest on July 19.
The CUET UG exam was initially scheduled for May 15 to 24. On May 14, the NTA postponed the May 15 exam in all Delhi centers due to logistical issues. The exam was then held on May 19.
CUET UG results were originally set to be released on June 30. However, the NTA delayed the results due to paper leak allegations involving NEET UG, UGC NET, and CSIR UGC NET.
