The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the admit cards for the re-test of the CUET UG 2024 will soon be released. This re-test, scheduled for July 19, is specifically for 1,000 students who expressed dissatisfaction with the provisional answer key and raised grievances with the NTA. The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

The preliminary exams were conducted by the NTA on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 29 at various centres located in 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India, and were attended by around 1.348 million candidates.

The NTA released the provisional answer key on July 7 and invited objections against it till July 9. As per the schedule, the answer key was initially scheduled to be released on June 30.

The delay in the release of the answer key has angered thousands of students who were waiting for the results as CUET UG scores are crucial for admission to undergraduate courses in top universities. Students alleged laxity and incompetence on the part of the testing agency.
In response to these concerns, the NTA assured in a public notice that all challenges to the provisional answer key have been reviewed by subject experts. The Final Answer Keys are currently being prepared and will soon be uploaded on the official CUET (UG) 2024 website.
The NTA also announced that admit cards for all affected candidates will be released shortly. Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth from the website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
A total of 261 universities will accept CUET UG 2024 scores for admissions.
