Students who took the CUET UG 2025 Accountancy paper between May 13 and 16 now have more time to decide whether to take the re-exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for submission of consent till May 24, 2025 at 1 pm. The deadline was earlier May 23, which has been extended to give more students a chance.
The re-exam will be conducted after irregularities were found in the original question paper. The revised and corrected question paper will be used in the new exam.
In its official notice, the NTA has said that if no response is received by the deadline, the original scores taken between May 13 and 16, 2025 will be considered final. The new exam date will be announced later.
The NTA further clarified that the move is part of its standard protocol to maintain fairness in the testing process. The re-test will be only for the affected subject - Accountancy - and only for those who took the exam during the initial dates.
CUET UG 2025 Latest Updates
The CUET UG 2025 exams began on May 15 and are still ongoing, conducted in multiple shifts, consisting of over 200 papers across various subjects.
Over 13.4 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. This year, the NTA conducted the exam in hybrid mode – pen-and-paper for subjects with high registrations and computer-based tests for others.
The provisional answer key for CUET UG 2025 is expected by the first week of June 2025, and the results are likely to be declared by the last week of June.
CUET UG serves as a single-window admission for admission to undergraduate programmes in central, state, and other participating universities.
