CUET UG 2025 Admissions: NTA Launches Official Portal for College Admissions

NTA has launched the official website for CUET UG 2025 at cuet.nta.nic.in. This site will have all updates about undergraduate admissions, including the application link. The official notification isn’t available yet but will be released soon.

NTA has also provided a helpline number and email ID for any payment issues. Candidates can pay the application fee through SBI, Canara Bank, and HDFC Bank.

The website lists central, state, private, and deemed universities taking part in CUET UG 2025. Students should check if their chosen university accepts CUET scores for admission.

CUET UG 2025: Key Changes You Should Know

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadeesh Kumar said that following the recommendations of the expert panel, CUET-UG will be a computer-based test (CBT), a change from the earlier hybrid mode, and students will be allowed to appear for subjects irrespective of those studied in Class 12.

The UGC also announced that the number of subjects will be reduced from 63 to 37 and admission to the removed subjects will be given on the basis of General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores.

Instead of separate exams for 33 languages, exams will be held for only 13 languages - Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The number of domain-specific subjects has been reduced from 29 to 23. The domain-specific papers removed are - Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.

The duration of the exam has also been made equal for all papers and standardised to 60 minutes, he said. The number of questions has also been made equal for all papers, he said. The concept of optional questions in the exam has also been done away with and all questions will now be compulsory, Kumar said.

The exam was held in both online and pen-and-paper modes in multiple shifts from May 15 to 31 in the year 2024, but the declaration of results, which was originally scheduled for June 30, got delayed.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has started the admission process for various undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes from February 1. The university application form is for the academic session 2025-26, which has over 40,000 seats across 106 affiliated colleges and 18 university schools.
