The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. CUET is mandatory for admission to central universities in India, but some universities offer admissions without CUET scores. These include Nagaland University, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), Sikkim University, North Eastern Hill University, and more.

The Union Ministry of Education has allowed certain universities to admit students without CUET scores due to a lack of resources to conduct admissions based on these scores.

Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Courses:
a) Candidates must score at least 50% in their 10+2 board exams.
b) Students must appear for college-based or state-level entrance exams, other than CUET, for admission into the listed universities.
For Postgraduate Courses:
a) Candidates must score a minimum of 6.5 CGPA in their graduation to apply for a postgraduate program.
b) Aspirants must take entrance exams other than CUET for admission into the universities listed above.
Some state universities conduct their own entrance exams instead of CUET. Here are the details:

Eligibility Criteria
– For Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges (TNGASA), candidates need a minimum score of 45%.
– For Online Admissions Module for Degree Colleges (OAMDC), candidates need a minimum score of 50%.
– For TS DOST, candidates need a minimum score of 45%.
– For Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET), the minimum required score is 50%.
– For Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE), candidates need 50% aggregate marks in all sections.
CUET UG 2024 was conducted for admission to various UG programs offered at 47 central, 54 state, 37 deemed, 177 private, and 6 other universities. Multiple universities, including central, state, and private institutions in Delhi, admit candidates to their undergraduate programs through the CUET UG. Universities like Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru University use CUET scores for UG admission.
